Ya! I remember those pictures, but that is only a portion of the damage.
Rob, we did have some good time in the trail with our YJ. We did show those Rubicon, how do it with real Jeep, didn't we? Yes it was and still the original paint, lots of it missing from the rust taking over.

Mickey’s 91 YJ, AKA “The Yellow Submarine”
It is sad to say, but “The Yellow Submarine” has been retired. It is gone to a better place, exactly where its purpose was designed for. Yes, you guessed it right, in the hunting and fishing trails. While there was still a lot of life left into the old girl, I felt it was the time to let her go to the greener pasture. The YJ was in the family for many years. Jason bought it over twelve years ago from an old man who had never used it off road. Within weeks, Jason (AKA Sex Rack, Jeep NV on the board)) put in a 4” BDS lift kit, with the original tires size. Shortly after those tires grew a bit bigger. At that time Jason used it to its maximum capability and accordingly to his budget.
About ten years ago, I took it over from Jason. Of course my budget allowed me to play harder (as some of you might remember). Within a year the tires size went from 30” to 31” to 33”. At some time, I decided to go bigger. I ordered new 35” x 12.5” x 15” TruXus on chromed wheels from APJ. Andre told me I should not put on 35” tires on that YJ with that power train and axles. That I would be very sorry, specially the way I drove the YJ. I replied “I hear you Andre but I will be gentle with the skinny pedal”
The day the tires arrived, at 4 pm Jason and I picked up the YJ with its new rubber. Andre told us to go for a spin, so we decided to go try the hill at the range. Well within 2 minutes into the hill, there was so much carnage done that I barely made it back to APJ. I could go in detail of what was broken, but it might be a shorter list of what was not broken. Or I could sum it up to $3500.00 invoice. (Yes Andre, of course you were right again). Of course there were more modification and upgrade done during the years.
You all know that I love to play in the mud, every opportunity I went for it. Actually in the last 2 years the YJ was only used for Mud Bog Racing here in the Valley. “The Yellow Submarine” went everywhere; up to very steep hills, into very deep swamp and mud holes, and for sure very, very deep water hole. It is the only YJ that could lift up its front wheel of the ground and burn its two rear 35” TruXus on dry pavement for 30'.
At this moment, I have many good memories of that YJ with my family and all Jeeper friends. But what I do not have, is videos and pictures of the YJ in action. Because, I am losing my memory very quickly. I would like to put a “montage” together to show my upcoming grandchild. (Yes it has been ordered and expecting to arrive in May 2014).
Could I ask to all of you to dig into your computer files and cameras and to forward me a copy of whatever you have? It would be appreciated and considered as a birthday present for this special day. If you put it on the NSJC net (where I might not be able to retrieve from), ensure it meets the criteria and for all those videos that do not, forward them to my email. five5islands@hotmail.com, titled YJ.

I need some tires to get me thru the winter to fit on my 98 Grand. I do not need rims. I also have some 15" rims that I could use if you have 15" tires.
