I was using a pump that screws to the top of the jug today. Worked good. Forgot I hadf it tucked away till this thread. (On my buggy, the fill hole for reduction box is blocked by exaust, need flexible hose to get around it.)

The plan for the water getting into the walls should work. I did it at my place, caulked the bottom with an 8" steel kickplate all around.

I have not had good luck not making a mess with those things. it is not easy to keep them clean on the outside, hard to handle and fill.

fluid doesn't sound healthy. I'd try some fresh clean fluid. Its a bit hard to get it out tho. might want to pull a return line off reservoir or keep stuffing paper towels into the reservoir to soak out a bit at a time. There's only like 1L or so in the system, not much.

just fished 1/2 a broken shift fork out of the reduction box. pooberries!
It was whirring the other day, but stays in gear. its in hi. Will have to pull interior - seats, floor, auto shifter, part of the dash. pull reduction box and t-case and take apart on bench.
Will prob lower the rear driveline mount about 2" (bad early design that got built over) and get some painting done at same time.
Not sure when I'll start. might get a 24 and some monkeys to rip 'er apart some Sat. nite.

Looks great guys! I like the black on white/clear corners and 'new' grill. White looks good when its fresh. I missed those rear quarter pics till now too. Out of stickers but getting some soon, I'll save you some.
Can ya take a pic of the steerbox mount area? I need a couple of fresh pics to save as examples. Thx!

That's the cure for wallowed out holes. It works pretty good, but you gotta know the axle is on its last legs when it needs welds to hold a cap in.

Well, i got my bumper now, and some supplys for my winch. Just need a switch, some cables, and to re-paint the bumper. PM me or post up here if you have questions about the bumper. Would love to see some pics of it mounted, its the only one I made with that style pushbar.

I thought it would be better to wait till morning to fix in the daylight. Safer. Jeep was fairly far back in the woods, albeit just in Burnside, surrounded by city. Not on a hiking thrufare, so we figured no one would bother it. Turns out it was a pretty nice day, warmed up quick from -12C to about -6C when we were wrenching. As I went outside to the shop to pack my tools, I saw that my hardtop hinges had broken and the body mount at rear bumper was driven upwards so hard the body got distorted. I was trying to go around where TDog was jammed against the rock, and the ass of my Jeep fell down a rock and hit another one REALLY hard. It felt like I got rear-ended, didn't see that the upward force sheared both hinges off till daylight. Lucky the glass didn't go sailing off on the drive home! So I had to ziptie that closed b4 the Jeep rescue, we didn't get back to TDogg's Jeep till 10am or so. While I was fixing my Jeep, TDogg texted and Said RubiconRon had axles for us, and would drop them off in Burnside around noon. Perfect! The offending rock, hill, and hole in daylight. The Jeep pretty much flew apart, the ball joints were separated, but the caps stayed in the knuckles, so it was as simple as aligning them and putting weight down do hold it in. They popped back in place. (fawked BJ's, but mobile) So we got it apart pretty quick, no axle yet. Went and grabbed a coffee and hung out at CVO by the fire waiting for Ron, who came along shortly. Then back in and final assembly, swapped in RubiconRon's axle w good joint, bolt 'er all back together, and drive the trail back out. Jeep was Ok to drive after some testing on road, so we zoomed it out APJ were Tdogg gets most of his service done. Balljoints need to be replaced. lol

Rue on the forum here probably built the motor. He might remember. He's got a buggy build going in fab section. Click on his name to message him
