I won't be making it to the run, but will meet up with folks at the BBQ and meeting. I will also be accepting membership dues from anyone who has outstanding dues or anyone who may be voted in at the meeting.
someone call or txt me (824-2066) when you make it to the park, that's all I ask, so I know when to come up. I'm only 10 minutes away.

The t-case shifter wont work. Yj uses a bolt holt on the trans as the main point of support. Xjs dont have the hole, or a spot to drill it.
Thats as much help as i can be

I have a replacement set of rear spider gears ordered to replace my ruined set, and a pair of rear outer axle bearings and seals. Then it depends on if I have time to make an appearance or not. Oh,and a new RCV to put in the front driver side.

I was thinking that it looked like there was a bit of body work done to this body, maybe that covered or removed the tool intents. It is still an M38 cowl, with the battery box cover on the passenger side. One or both of our m38s have functioning tailgates, if that helps.

Last guy to try to poke a hole in my ride got a poke in the nose and he was doing a safety check........ You can use a finger and eye sight but trying to poke a hole in something that isn't yours isn't cool. As unfair as it may seem to the buyer, I have to agree, I would probabLy stab a fella with a screwdriver if he stabbed a rig and I was trying to sell.

The pto winches weren't that common, but the few I have seen, seemed to have stopped working long ago. That isn't unusual for them. I never did find parts rebuild them, although haven't looked for 8-10 years.
As for parts, many parts are interchangeable with the -3a, and many more will swap, but not be the same.
They are probably the most common flat-fender,so cutting it up isn't the worst thing you can do. Plus it looks like it is a little rough, so nobody will accuse you of ruining a piece of history.

My father has 1 and I have 1. What do you need to know? We can try to come up with an answer.

Alum is very difficult to weld. Only something for experienced folk. Plus you Need a spool gun or tig to Weld it.
3/16" would be a minimum for steel. 1/4" at least for alum, it isn't nearly as strong.
