If your shocks are too short why not just move up the lower shock mounts and get a little more ground clearance valid point, you could give yourself a couple of inches of usable shock and better clearance on the sides by doing that.

friend of ours is looking for new front fenders for her TJ. who has the best price around? I know the stealerships are nuts. I have a rough price from the local Napa, but are there any other places that are better? need full inner and outer ass'y.

if I remember correctly, you swap the 2.5 sensors into the 4.0 tb.

Not to make this into a pissing match, but the windshield doesn't look like it has the fold-out vents, maybe I'm looking at it wrong. Also, M38's had bottom-wipers, and were one-piece, maybe not all of them, but some definately were. it has the tie-downs along the sides which are military specific also. it also has a cut-out in the side of the hood for the military snorkel. I do notice that it has signal lights in the front in place of the black-out lights, but that may have been something done for safety.
This thing could also be a mis-match or parts, which happens often.

easiest way for me personally to tell it is an M38, is because it has a battery box cover on the cowl, also, look at the grille, it has a 7-slat grille, not a 9-slat grille. MB's had a 9-slat grille

I don't know if they would be too stiff or not for me. I think I need just regular springs with no extra leafs that still have a little life left in them

looking for yet another pair of GOOD XJ leaf springs. I'd like to get a set of good used ones, that still have some positive arch to them, rather than pay an assload for new stock springs.
let me know what you have, I'd prefer looking in the Valley, but will be headed to the HRM early next week.
