hardwood dies! that would be good for doing small stuff. 1"diameter and under. simple tho. but you could replace the top abnd bottum plate on the die with some 1/4" steel. wich should do the trick. chris

I'm a commerical construction electrican. I cant help but think the hydrolic benders we use at work would seem to handel this,I believe thay will bend up to 4 inch rigid pipe.
Greenlee, Ideal, or Klien tools should have a model or something along these lines.

that's the die i have, the pipe is 1.9" O.D., just about 2". good size for bumpers, roll cages, and rockrails. Jan, are you using pipe for roll cages?

hell ya. non-competivite wheeling, a good design. I CAD design my stuff. i wouldn't try to go run the Baja with it, but for my style wheelin, if i flop or roll, the cage may deflect, but it will save ME. not the rig. have a look in my Toyota build thread, it needs an "x" behind the cab and downbars from the hoop. then i'm sure i could roll it pretty good and come out un-injured. its all about the design. now mind you, that rig barely gets wheeled. it doesn't have the X or the downbars, so right now it is a crappy design. not safe to roll. pipe has been proven time and time again to be acceptable on a trail rig. it's 1.5" sch.40 that i use, i just have the one die right now.

i should add i haven't done a cage YET, it will happen over the summer i'm sure. the Toy was to learn about how the pipe would work, and to learn about making the bender work for me and how to measure angles and stuff.
