I still would like to see the result of filing a claim for the rolling of a rig down a cliff into a ravine of snakes...
I don't know... no matter how much you think you have your ass covered, there is someone out there who will find a way to screw you...

I passed some of this info on to my neighbor, he was unaware of any of it since his tow rig (van) is commercially insured and felt he was covered.

I have it coming in writing that the LOCATION and the TIMING of the accident are NOT mentioned as coverage disqualifiers. That is friggin sweet! Does this mean I could roll my JK in the woods drag it out with a winch, haul it home on a flat deck and park it in my driveway and submit a claim and have my insurance company pay to have it repaired and all I would have to do is pay a little more each year. ***Off Topic - Sorry Len. If I take my bike to AMP and race it on the track and put it in the rhubarb on turn 9 , and then try to submit a claim it would be insurance fraud....or so I am told. This seems like a similar situation as taking my Jeep and driving it down a rock face and rolling it. *Not Arguing your fax, just sayin'

Thats exactly what it means. There would be lots of pix. Just like they were there.
Racing is specifically excluded. No coverage for you. ;D

Thats exactly what it means. There would be lots of pix. Just like they were there. Racing is specifically excluded. No coverage for you. ;D But could racing be defined as any sanctioned run where event insurance is carried? IE: club runs (I'm assuming the NSJC carries insurance for this), and events like GAC, Fox Mountain, etc. I know back when i was racing solo 2, once you slapped a number on your car, you were fawked if you had an accident as far as collision. It was kind of a grey area in Navigational rallies too...

Nope. Club runs, Jamborees etc are not defined as racing.

Absolutley fawkin silly! No insurance if I take my bike to the track and crash it........ Full coverage if I drive my Jeep down a rock face and roll it ten times..... Looks like I might have to switch insurance companies if I am gonna keep wheelin' with Ray and Leigh cause my insurance company won't cover it. ***UPDATE***Finally got a return call back from my insurance. My insurance company told me any accident sustaining damage over $1000 will have to be reported to the police and a police report will have to be done up otherwise my insurance company won't even look at it. In the officers report if it is noted by the officer that I basically drove down a rock face and rolled it 10 times and was stupid for being there in the first place and/or messing around then they will put it through comprehensive and my rate would sky rocket though the roof. If the officer reported that it was a mechanical failure or something out of my control then it would be covered under my collision and my rate would not go up as high but still would go up. So I guess it is covered, I will just need a cop that can do me up a really nice police report to hand into the insurance company. Ooops, sorry one more thing. With regards to Motorcycle Racing, it is covered and will go through comprehensive...again rates go through the roof, however ARL works close with insurance companies to ensure that this does not happen by keeping a record of all VIN#'s that enter that track at AMP, if a bike claim is submitted the insurance company can contact ARL and they can provide that information to see if that bike had been on the track or not to determine if it goes through comprehensive or collision.

I am insured through that brokerage as well. Always treat me and my family like a member of their family. I am always recommending them to people.

Len, I saw your post the other day re towing and rates and thought.. Oh Boy did he check into this? I went through the same thing with my trailer 2 yrs ago. A friend told me that there would be no coverage on the Tractor I was borrowing from a friend if anything happened,as I did not own the load on the trailer!! When I contacted 5 different brokers, they agreed no coverage for the load, or any incident that could be related to the towing of non personal holdings. I sold the trailer, and truck. I now call a deck truck when I need something moved

Wow, this is an eye opener I never gave it much thought about the insurance coverage of a vehicle trailer as it pertains to the vehicle on it. I wonder what the U-Haul people tell their customers

I previously posted that UHaul sells insurance to cover your move for $9/day.
