x2 man, that's some good looking fab. Feel brave enough to post some close-up weld pix Fluxcore? Here are some tips from what I can see on that one single bead - Its a cold weld. so not enough amperage, or going too fast. slow down and keep more heat in one spot, you will have a larger smoother bead that doesn't curl away from the base material. See how its high in the middle, but the edges aren't attached to the steel? not enough heat. from your pic of your welding position, your head is too far away to control the puddle very well. That's a 500A stick welding position. Get your head right down there like you are drawing or writing a letter. You will be able to control the puddle better and see what you are doing. You may want to get your elbows on something solid to steady your hand. Just some tips! Great job if its your first one, I'm not saying its gonna fall apart, just some advice for next time. Thx for posting the thread. I'm most impressed that the bumper is stylish and matches the rig. That is not easy. Almost anyone can slam a 2x4 of square tube on there.
