Getting ready to put the bumper under some more surgery. In my recent stuck out in kingswood I found out that I needed to add some more support to the mounting plate. I'm going to add some gussets and tie it into the crossmember so when its being pulled/pulling the load is distributed. Ordered a spindle and tire mount from cvo today for the tire carrier. Originally wanted to do something with piping to make a rear stinger/ tire carrier but I do not have access to a pipe bender so think Im just gonna do something simple with square tubing. If anyone has some cool ideas for the tire carrier please post em up!

My uncle and I took the bumper off and got some work done yesterday. Ran a bead down the seam that I was having trouble with and grinded it still have some craters to fill before it goes for powder coat. The mounting bracket for the bumper wasn't a strong design so when It was put to the test when I got stuck out in kingswood it bent out. The solution we came up with was tie the mounting bracket into the crossmember. Below is a picture of how we did it we made the piece up, drilled the holes to match the factory holes in crossmember, welded nuts on, and welded to bracket Had a receiver lying around so figured we may as well incorporate it. We welded a piece of angle iron on to sit on the backside of crossmember and again drilled holes to match factory. The bolts will go through the receiver and crossmember and thread into the nuts on our mounting bracket tying it all in. Once we get everything bolted up one more time to make sure everything is lining up we will weld a piece in connecting the receiver to the mounting bracket so it all goes together in one shot.
