The thread may be a year old but at the same time, it is still up to date.

More work being done the past few weeks. Trying to solve a lack of braking problem & valve seals to cut down on the bug repellent that is produced from the tail pipe.
Have to get ready for it's annual wheeling at Jam!

Big6 adjusting the rear shoes while Dave is working on his new Rubi. XJ master/dual diaphram booster. The master did not have enough volume to finish locking the brakes, it would work to a point.....then its on the floor and you need to press further. Need to swap over to old YJ or E350, something with a bigger bore. Still kinda figuring that out. We had a plan to copy Bernie's Yellow CJ setup, but then found that nice big booster on Scott's parts rig, and I though we should try it out. Didn't work too good.

More work being done the past few weeks. Trying to solve a lack of braking problem Now why anyone would see a lack of a braking problem as a problem to solve is beyond me... Must be a CJ thing.. "Damn this stops good... That can't be right." ;D

Somehow I seem to have missed this thread completely? Nice work guys! She looks great!
Lack of brakes was a constant theme on the CJ. The 11"drums helped some but you had to clean/adjust them after every offroad trip and the fear of someone cutting you off was forever present! Several master cylinders were tried, with varying degrees of success.
The shifter was an acquired taste ;D Also worked as a security system! You should have seen the pinto shifter with the home boogered linkage that came on it originally!
