Hey creepy cutting the tub like that looks really good. I have to strech my 5 a bit as the 727 leaves too stort of a drive shaft, I was trying to figure out the best way to strech my tub, but I think it looks good cut like that.
Are you going to tie the roll bar into the rear of the frame? Or build some kind of full cage? Also what size tires are those?
It looks sweet!

Are you going to tie the roll bar into the rear of the frame? Or build some kind of full cage? Also what size tires are those? tires are 33x12.5 bias Swamper TSL. they are bigger than most 33's. suspension is SOA. goal was to get to topless run. that "rollbar" is nothing but a glorified softtop support without a bunch of tie-ins to frame. it isn't supported in any direction. I'll probably build a deck on the back or something, and tie it all together. for your rig, to get some more wheelbase in the rear - you can flip the rear shackle hangers around, or move 'em back. and run a longer spring like 63" chevies or those waggy fronts. edit: oops, wrong account.

nah, the hoop is all welded into the boatside support. its staying.
as for your leafs - the waggy's have offset centerpins, so you get a few inches that way. read up on it a bit.

yeah man, I'm stoked. the manifolds made it run soooooo much better. perfect conditions for us yesterday. kinda lite, soft tires, tight turns, short wheelbase, tall over the snow, and a V8.
We had a wicked time! That hillclimb, I wanna see vids!

i forgot i never added these pics of the exaust gettng done... went dumpster diving at an unnamed exaust shop. they let me have whatever i wanted. took a selection of bends and diameters, to be able to slip fit. bought a flange for at manifold. plus a tailpipe = a headpipe. sectioned the long glasspack i had. there's one side done, bends around traction bar. other side was a straight shot, but close between front output and frame. sweet baby jesus, is that a crack in the frame!!?? BBrraapppp! its loud.

nah, I'm thinking about getting the seats remounted, and harness in. can't weld AT ALL around the plastic fuel cell. you only have to watch in horror once - a glowing hot rock skipping across the plastic leaving a melted dent every bounce, threatening to melt a hole thru and maybe exploding? well thats what goes thru your head. eek!
