nah, I'm thinking about getting the seats remounted, and harness in. can't weld AT ALL around the plastic fuel cell. you only have to watch in horror once - a glowing hot rock skipping across the plastic leaving a melted dent every bounce, threatening to melt a hole thru and maybe exploding? well thats what goes thru your head. eek! Perhaps a welding blanket may be a wise investment?

Or simply remove the cell.

Friggin other CJ's knocked me off the first page. started getting into building a cage. i hated the seat mounts from the Topless Run, and picked up 5 point harnesses to install. It kinda snowballed from there......need to mount seats...need to mount harness.....need a cage to bolt it all to. made this indexing tool for multiplane bends and marking the pipe. plane of bend bracket pipe all laid out with measurements for cut, bend and rotation Quality assured. its Canadian, made in January. bending I've got the stock main hoop all welded into the boatsides, so I'm using that to build off. feet at front of door welded into boatside "rocker" Spending a lot of time getting nice tight copes. neighbor showed up with bottle of rum. this was as far as i got yesterday suffered thru a hangover and got one bar sorta done.

Haha, CJs are the new stingers are the new trxus ;D I like the furled brow look of the cage, I think you should call 'im Warf. How do you use the pipe indexer? Were your bends all 90 or 180 deg from each other? I do the first bend, then use the angle finder against the side of the first bend minus whatever angle the bender is sitting at to do multi plane. I might steal that idea for easily marking 180 for coping on the bandsaw. I think those copes are a little too good. You should probably bevel them a bit to give a gap for welding Paul

Looks great Jan!!...can we see some shots of the mounts?? Jeff mounts for the cage feet? they are welded into the boatsides, which go directly to frame. harness is a coupler nut welded into hole in roll bar. sub belt is bolted to seat mounts, (which are welded into boatsides). inside lap is bolted thru stock floor spot, its reinforced underneath.
