that looks great Darren. do you plan to weld the roof to the cross tubes and such as you are going? hopefully that fixes your body movement issues.

Wow, that looks really good! You first parts are 4 bends in a couple of planes....That's hard stuff. Nice rolled look to the windsheild bar too.
Very nice! To be honest, I was expecting less for a first timer.

That boosted my spirits a whole bunch, I was a little bit dissapointed on the results in the rear b ut I just have to accept it but the a,b,c piller roof crossbraces alighn up from right to left so I am happy with that. Thanks Darren

Yes Dan, I ran out of pipe yesterday but Rue fixed me up tonight ;D (thanks Rue) and I got another length of it so now I can make and install the B-pillar bars and the C-pillar bars and tie them into the rear part at the tailgate. Hopefully Its done by the end of the week, then I can work on replacing the front diff with another one I got.

Well I didn't get much done during the week , so I decided not to go on the Valley club run today. Instead I decided to work on the Cherokee rain or shine. So needless to say Its raining today. So I wend down to the shop and cut out my plates for the cage, Thanks to Jaime (imstuck) I made short work cutting the 1/4" plate with his plasma cutter. After I got home from cutting the plate I decided to make a tarp tent to cover the back end of the Cherokee so I wouldn't get wet, well it worked.......sorta I tacked in the overhead console bars for the front and rear seating area's. Then I dropped the cage down through the holes I made so I can finish weld the cage. After fully welding the cage joints, I decided to sand and paint the top section with a brush. Didn't turn out too bad but it would of been better to paint it with a spray gun. At least its got paint on it. After the paint dried, which was not that long due to I put hardener in the paint, I raised the cage into position and installed the plates and welded them to the floor. I will be installing plates underneath the floor to tie the cage into the frame and rock rails. I was going to use pipe for this but I decided not to use it due to it hanging underneath and it catching on stuff so hence the flat plate. left rear Right rear Next I cut, coped, and bent the B-pillar bars and installed them, I also welded them to the B-pillar as well to stiffen the pillars. Right side: Left side: All I got to do is make and install the C-pillar bars, then paint the rest of the cage and she is all done. ;D Darren

Well finally got the cage done. All in all for the first cage build it came out OK ;D. Some mistakes but nothing too major and nothing to hurt the integrity of the cage. made the down bars and a cross bar for the rear section, also I welded the side panel o the cage to stiffen up the rear section. Left rear. Right rear. All painted. Again I made the mistake of painting it with a brush, Never again. Time to install the dash. Here is the left side. The right side. All together......YAAAAAAAAAA... Now onto the front diff and rebuild another one. Darren
