Now if he went rear engine he could use his 60s.Just flip the hps upsidedown (have to turn the Cs)to make them low pinions and to get things to spin the right way....That would be cool!!!! Do you know that Pecks in Digby is a RCV dealer.

Im not going rear engine. The front hp60 runs in the strong side of the gears because they are reverse cut. If you run a hp in the rear than it is running in the weak side. I was talking to pecks the other day about rcv axles for the chev d60. Just did all the math and rocks are half the price of any other 1 ton combo. Anyone looking for a set of 5 bolt 60hp,s.

Ya I agree with this, but I was saying if you turn the engine around and mounted it in the rear. You would have to flip the diffs to get the to get the tires to turn in the right direction. Now if you flip your HP60 and put in the rear it's now a LP60,but since the ring gear is now on the other side of the pinion,it's still running on the drive side of the ring gear.

I actually understand that. Now the new problem is, the front diff is now running on the weak side. and will also have to be flipped.

Now both axles are one the drive side. But with the way you like to drive,I think you'd be better off with rocks.

I changed my mind yet again I am going with rockwells. 2 steer axles with stock shafts. Easyier on the bank and easyier for me to keep parts. Also this way i can sell the 46 claws as i will be swapping the tractor tires an the irocks bettween the jeep and toy.

I picked up a built shorty powerglide today. Its for the toyota but 100% interchangeable into the jeep. It has a JW bolt on bellhousing, and 200hp transbrake.

glen glen glen you got it all wrong. i want to build a fun little trail truck and that is what i am doing. Everybody knows jeeps suck on trails. they are good for plowing your driveway and towing trailers around your yard. toyotas and buggies is what all the cool people have. Hellllllls yeaaah!!
