That is some old school tricks there, b'y.
Swedge-lock nut looks like it stripped the shit out of the bolt going on. One time use! I have a few on the buggy, you might as well cut the bolt as get that nut off again. (if i'm seeing what i think i see)

yes, they go on fine, but don't come off. ;D (a locknut that works!) I'm commenting kinda for general info to anyone reading. the pic looks like it stripped the threads the whole way down. I was not expecting that when I used them. just thought it would be tight, but the shit had to be cut off. (Mine were 1/2" grd8 with swedge lock nuts, from transworld.)

Well that's good to know so I will source a new bolt now in case it ever has to come off. Thanks.
It does look like it tore a new path through the threads...different colour. The bolt was anodized or something, threads are silver now.

Rough Country tie rod. I figure this will be one of the better investments I've made in the Jeep after seeing how easy the stock tie rod bends. Peck's has the proper trackbar bracket for me, getting that next week. Thanks Jason! Small spacer in the front coils. The tiny factory spacer was removed. It brough it up about an inch so it's level-ish- It was aligned today. Front was near spot on, Scott. But the rear axle was out 3/4 of a degree. The tech showed me that was about an inch. Control arms adjustment fixed that quickly. Rolling along nicely now. Couple more minor things on the todo list.

This bracket which comes with the RC trackbar 4" lift, is only good for over 4" of lift. Any less and you can see what happens. Torch Bracket for 2" of lft Nowhere near anything. Perfect. Thanks Garagemahal.

I took this Jeep for a long run today to find issues, none were found. I drove to Bridgewater on the highway and some back roads. Quickly remembered why this Jeep has no place on a windy highway. With stock gearing, it struggles to keep 110 up a hill. I was rowing the shifter like an olympian 5th-4th and back... but that's fine. The 50$ gas it cost there and back is not fine. haha. My car does that drive for under 25$ at current prices.
I have a front lower control arm bushing that squeaks and groans like an old mattress from a motel, have to grease that. Otherwise, it drove straight, no vibes.
Thanks to Scott for all his hard work on this Jeep and putting up with me being picky about everything. and the 3 great local shops for feeding parts to my addiction. I am hoping that from here on in, the only work it will need is basic maintenance and fenders. and a locker.

Yup that was me. Nice sunny day down in Mahone Bay. I was going to stop for lunch too but was behind schedule. It was fun to travel by Jeep today... waved at a ton of people driving Jeeps, eavesdropped on truckers on the CB. lol.
