I got tired of jamming stuff under benchs in corners, or lofts. So I found a storage solution that will take care of most of my problems. But first I had to cut down 6, 80' Popolar trees , dig out the stumps with a Cat 420 borrowed from a friend. Some of them were the size of a Kia. Spent a day re landscaping that mess. I cut the logs into 24" lengths and rolled them across the septic sytem by hand (100' away) and piled them where I can deal with them later. Then I got two loads of soil dropped of by another friend to make a ramp off the end of the driveway. Pushed it off with a Cat 287 b track skid steer, from yet another friend. Yes all of my favours are now used up. PS I blew a hydrallic line on the skid steer, and now the track has to come off to fix it. Fawk! Filled in a hollow in the yard by what would have been the garden if this project wasn't happening.

So I didn't take any pictures of the building on the truck to save those involved with the move any greif. There's a reason they call them "Midnight Movers" From the time it was lifted at the original location till it was back on blocking at my house(15 km trip). it was only45min. It took about 2 hrs to get it lowered, and perfectly level. It now sits very comfortly in the lower end of my lot. All tucked away, out of site. It is 20'x 32' with 8' walls. All rough cut lumber with the exception of the 8' 2x4 wall studs which the guy who built it says are not worth milling, as he can buy them on sale cheaper. I'll put a 12' sliding door in this end set off to the back side of the building, and build a dirt ramp for entry. Location of the future lean-to roof. Yeeek I must remember to clean up those Willys parts soon. Now to finish laying out what goes where inside. And find a new location for the ugly old "Parts Palace" which had to be moved to cut down the trees and place the new building.

Nice building, looks like it was for sale for awhile. I'd love to have one just like it.

Nice building, looks like it was for sale for awhile. I'd love to have one just like it. It was the demo. He had it out in the yard for two years. It was to bring people in, than he'd build what ever you wanted, from 8'x8' to 24'x 32'. You pick the size, wall height, roof pitch, and he'd build and deliver. Things have tightened up over here as far as moving wide loads go, so he is going to stick with 16' and under for the width. I got a deal on it because it was getting in need of paint or stain and he didn't want to do it because no matter what color he had put on in the past, the next person in didn't want one that was painted or stained. It worked out great for me as I was going to build something and let it go natural anyway. I paid less for it including delivery than I could have bought the material. Now keep in mind I did use up all my favors with my buddies, and now have to start fresh again. Hopefully tomorrow night I can get the D5 dropped off to get rid of that ramp at the end of the driveway and reshape the yard.

Thanks I missed a nice one last fall. 24'x 36', but it only had 2x8 floor joist @16" centers. I was a little nervous about moving it as it was on an old set of skids. It sold for $5000, but the best price I could get to move it was $1750 cash.

Yep 2"x10" rough sawed, 12" on center with 3 2"x 6" rough sawed carrying beams. Each beam has 5 pads supporting them.

Wicked, so 2X10's, 12"oc on 3 triple laminated 2x6 beams supported ruffly 6 feet? That's heavy duty. That's not moving.

They will be plenty strong but the beams are just nailed together, not laminated. On the up side the Cat guy was able to get the leak fixed in 1 1/2 hrs. It turned out to be a pin hole on a rusty hose crimp. Thankfully fair wear and tear not something I did! ;D Had the D5 in to reshape the yard at the end of the driveway. Have been soaking down the lawn where the tracks were as it instantly turned brown after driving over it. I don't know if I can save it or not, as we have only had about 25mm of rain since June 1st. We are now in the Extreme Fire risk area with no fires, or camp fires permitted.

When we re shaped the driveway , I had them save as much of the slope as possible so I could use it to plow snow down this winter. Now that I'm getting caught up, it is time to start enjoing the old truck.
