Cabin looks small? seat is on the rear crossbar, and your feet are out in the wheelwell. The cabin is quite wide and the seat will go more towards the center (about 6" maybe). In the first pict with me in it my leg is almost full streach and foot outside cabin firewall. Second pict my foot is inside a bit and knee is bent more. I think it will be ok once I move the seat over towards center. Thanks for pointing that out Jan, sometimes things can get missed and outside eyes help.

I am glad I can throw out comments and you not get butthurt. lol
The width was not the concern.
I was looking at the seat hitting the bar, and your leg sticking out the firewall.
To get your leg back in, and a more natural driving position, it looks like the seat needs to tilt back. You want the bottom of your thighs to be supported by the seat. Maybe rough mock in a gas/brake pedal and see if you can get a comfortable seating position.
I did my pedals first, then located the seat, then the steering wheel.

I want all the comments anyone can give. I can take it just as much as I give it. lol
Good point on the do the peddles first, I/WE will do that as soon as I can get down next time. It didnt feel that bad sitting in the seat but I was real excited to sit in it as you can see by the big grin on my face.

Thanks Jan,but the back bar to the firewall is actually a couple of inches longer than mine so with Darren being shorter than me he'll have lots of leg room once he build the seat mounts.Sometimes pics make things look a little different than they really are.

Andy was back at it again tonight and installed the DS A-Pillar bar in along with the door "X". Next he bent and installed the "Angry Eyebrow" next he dug out the tubing roller and started rolling the dash bar. nice even roll pulled the 2 A-Pillar's together to set the width all set in place matched the curve pretty good This picture showes another A-Pillar bar installed just for cosmetic reasons, The cabin starting to come together rather nicely.

Finally a peek at the elusive roll bender, I knew one of you guys had one! The dash bar looks good.
I see a few splices in the tube work, those have internal sleeves, eh? I would have avoided the one on the A-pillar before the bend into the roof. Hard to tell from the pic, but I don't see rosette welds, just the butt weld.
When I can't avoid a splice, I turn down an internal slug 6" long, and use 2 rosette welds per side of the seam. Then fill the chamfered butt-weld seam, making sure to get into the root (the internal sleeve)
I left the door bars uninstalled till I'm done the interior. Makes it easy to work on.

Finally a peek at the elusive roll bender, I knew one of you guys had one! ;D That thing is about 4 years old now. Built with a torch, drill press and mini-grinder! A machininst buddy made the rollers. Oh yeah. Buggy looks great! How much head room will you end up having?

Yes Jan there sleaved and plugwelded. due to the complex bends in the A-Pillar it was unavoiadable. It will be alright, I wont be rolling this over. The door bars are just tacked in and will be removable once I get it home to do the interior then I will finish weld them in. Oops this was our inital plan but after thinking a bit this will now not work so well. Oh well I can make it work anyhow. About 6-8" headroom

Looking really good guy's, this looks like what I would like for a buggy. Are you writing down all your measurements, angle degrees, etc? The smile says it all. Can't wait till this is done to see how it works. . Buggy mania has hit. NS.

Well another trip to Andy's tonight to get more work done on the buggy. I had to shorten the long side of the front diff so off grinding I go. Knuckle off, now I have to cut off 1" and re install the knuckle. I forgot to take picture of it reinstalled but its on there. I finely got to bend some tube, not as easy as I thought lol I bent the tube for the top portion of my dash. Andy cut out the rear bar behind the seat and bent up another one to add some more length in the cab.
