I need a daily driver for the winter. The big dodge is pretty hard on gas and i don't really want it covered in salt all the time. It's in pretty good shape and I'd like to keep it that way. Scott found this 98 Cherokee on kijiji and sent me the link. Me and Adam went and had a look. It needs a few things fixed up but nothing too major. I got it cheap enough.
The motor had a terrible miss in it. I got zapped real good when I grabbed the plug wires, so i figured it just needs a tune up. Inside the cap is gross
the plugs are toasty too
Put on fresh plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and air filter
After all that it still had a miss.... ran like crap!
Adam was removing the old, non working remote starter and found a rediculous connection for the signal wire on the #6 injector. Found the miss!
Motor runs great now. Put a little paint on the rims just before bringing them in to get some 31s mounted
Started tearing into the front end to put in some 2" spacers I got from Ronin. Thanks b'ye. Found one bagged out coil and one broken one
Here is the lower ball joint on the drivers side. It's fawked!
and the upper on the pasenger side..... Adam pulled it out with one hand!
Picked up some GC coils and some ball joints
Put a little patch on the coil bucket before installing new ball joints, coils, and spacers
Front is all back together, except for the sway bar links i forgot to get
Sitting rite nice in the front now with the 31s on
I got the beat to hell leafs out of it now, putting on new leaf packs with lift blocks tonite. with any luck it'll sit nice and level
