I just spent the last hour reading about your trip on Expedition Portal. Wow, just wow. What an experience. Sorry to hear you didn't make it.

Sweet, got some reading to do.
I thought the Baddog quit after wrecking his rig on the Curse. Never saw or heard of him again. Glad to see you are still at it.

Sweet, got some reading to do. I thought the Baddog quit after wrecking his rig on the Curse. Never saw or heard of him again. Glad to see you are still at it. The Curse was pretty destructive that day. I think I was one of 4 rigs that had serious mechanicals. It turns out I broke a rear axle shaft. Unfortunately, it also shredded the seals on my ARB. Back to APJ (love those guys!). They got the diff and axle replaced under warranty so I got off pretty easy. I then tried to figure out why the Dog was having such a hard time of things. Turns out my traction control system and ABS system were both fighting for control. The power just wasn't getting to the ground. Some Google-time and I found a blog that explains how to disable both with one wire ... nice. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! So ... No ... didn't quit at all. Still givn 'er!

There's a method with no wires, just unclip the speed sensors, bam, no more electronic assist.

No offense intended Tyler, but that sounds like a hack thing to do and there is NOTHING hacked on John's JK.

All Jeeps are hacked. It's just a matter of how hacked you're willing to go. Honestly I feel like uncliping and tieing up sensors is a less hacked way to do it. Can always just plug them back in again.
