WOW!!!! nice job Alan, Are those round holes going to be for the tow hook on each end? That would be awesome if ya aired down going in the woods, and aired back up from your bumpers when ya came back out. Roy

I didn't figure out how much volume it is. When my 60 gallon tank is at 140 psi, it drops it about 10 psi to fill it. He's going to have a compressor in the Jeep to keep it filled.
Yes, the holes are for shackles. The plates pass right through the bumper and will be part of the attachment points to the Jeep.
Edit: Did some figuring, it's about 2 gallons.

look good , i'm not so sure how much of a good idea having a square bumper pressurized is do, even just a 100 psi is a lot of pressure for something that is going to be hitted tugged on and all, i would have it certified before using it , as i would not want to be around if it blows up, air is a powerfull thing under pressure... just-a-thougth
ps. i am not saying its not a good idea ,but i would not want to be around if something happen
nice work as usual allen

Seeing he has a compressor, it doesn't have to have air in it on the trail, just turn it on as you get off the trail and it would be filled by the time you are ready to air up.
It's 3/16 wall, doesn't expand at all with 140 psi (and I doubt it will see that on the Jeep), and if you hit it hard enough to make it blow apart, you've probably just been in a bad accident. Glen is safety conscious, so I'm sure he will be careful with it.

Can you post a pic when you have the attachment part done. I'm interested in how your going to do that. I have been thinking of my future rear bumper and how I was planning on attaching it.

my rear bumber has been holding 150 psi for a year now,it's seen lots of rocks, explode? I suspect it might rupture with a rush of air nothing more.

3/16? That's an able bumper, don't think you have any worries there. Maybe positive pressure will keep it from denting. ;D
Reminds me of the bumper ends that were on the Jeepster, but they're removed to make a tire carrier. What thickness is the pivot point attachment Alan?
