What's the cheapest way to move a jk from Ontario to Halifax? Rent a big truck from Budget? hire a mover? I drive a 4runner so towing a trailer there/back is not possible. ideas??

Is it actually that much of a steal of a deal that it makes sense to go to get it? Sounds like alot of time and money to get it here...

I don't know why you guys keep getting over on this guy with 'cheap this, cheap that' He's wantin to blow some coin! Here is a killer LJ build.......may be a little late, but there are lots of shots showing it with no top so you can see the inside well and in perspective. www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=934657as for the Jk in Ontario.....find a hotshot hauler on kijiji or call around to auto transport companies. Maybe even by rail. Unfortunately its more often rigs are leaving NS with room, and coming back full. We are not much of a producer, and import everything. Global economy and all that. edit: on second thought, we have the giant car port. i'm just making this up, you need to call around.

Yeah, aftermarket axle housings are the stuff dreams are made of, lol.
If my mortgage was paid off and my retirement plan was set and full of cash; I'd think about buying all the awesome gear. Ali might let me buy all the fun stuff, lol.
I say if the cash is just burning a hole in your pocket, go for it! Can't wait to see how this rig build goes.

I don't know why you guys keep getting over on this guy with 'cheap this, cheap that' He's wantin to blow some coin! There seems to be a misunderstanding here. I'm not 'wantin to blow some coin'. I found a jk that's been in an minor accident that I think I can snag for $3k. If I can get it home for $1k, I think I've got a hell of a deal. That's WAY cheaper than the LJs that I've found on kijiji, etc. as they run around $11k to $13k and super cheap for a jk which seem to run$18k-$25k. You got a better idea ... I'm all ears!

I can't say I blame Jan for posting that comment, I would have to agree with him. The way you come across in the first page or so and the list you posted of modifications probably leave most to believe you aren't afraid of blowing it. IMO, with a list like that you have been watching way to many Project-JK video's. Regardless, if you do build it good on ya, I especially look forward to the finished product, you will have to bring it on down to the curse and we shall see how you do, after all having a huge Jeep with all kinds of fancy do dad's don't mean shit if you don't know how to wheel it Somebody wake me up when the actual build starts

I found a jk that's been in an minor accident that I think I can snag for $3k. You need to get together with the seller and confirm that you are working with the same definition of "minor" the definition with which I am familiar does not have anything to do with an accident that turns a JK Unlimited into a 3k rig. Keep us in the loop.

I guess there is a misunderstanding....first page is a magazine wish-build list into $60K. Now market rate LJ's are too much. I'm confused, and cannot offer further advice over what I already have. LJ, 1tons, 4.0, AW4. You can doo eet for $20K I'd say. You could probably do an injected Chev V8 for $20K too. not incl. labor, which will double the price of anything. Good luck on that cheap JK. you may not appreciate the overly complex electronics you will have to deal with compared to a TJ/LJ. And it seems so cheap as to be a scam or it is destroyed...but then again there are deals out there, you never know.
