I like how she's talking about articulation at the same time the video is showing one ot two tires in the air. Lol. That is some really bad editing! Whoever edited that obviously doesn't know what aticulation actually means. Ha

This is what the "new" Cherokee should have looked like. If it ain't broke....don't fix it.....much.

Chrysler has to compete with something. Ill be in the market for an AWD suv with good mileage soon. The Ford Escape is #1 on my list right now. I've seen a few of these on the road, if the headlights work good I could overlook the weird front end.

This is Jeeps attempt at taking more of the market share away from Ford, ect for their small/mid size family SUV's. Honestly, no one looking at these are going to say "Where's the SFA, and SRA", they're going to say "How many car seats does it fit".
I agree that they should not have used the Cherokee name, but they probably did so people will think of it as a smaller/cheaper Grand Cherokee. Again, most looking at buying one of these would probably have no idea what an XJ was, and would definitely have no intentions of taking one off-road. The people looking at them will also be looking at Ford Escapes, and Hyundai Santa Fe's, but will like the Jeep name more than the others.

Saw a Cherokee trail hawk this AM on my way to work. I like it.

The Trail Hawk does look nicer, but I can't stop staring at the squinty eyes. It just looks really odd IMHO.

i will give jeep credit...they did do one thing right....they put two on the front and one on the back....then they painted them red (at least in the video it was)....for those still wondering....it's the tow hooks.. lol. for when the city folks that never see anything worse then a dirt road going to there camp decide "hey!, i've got a jeep, i can go anywhere now!". they made sure that those of us who have good rigs for wheeling can pull them out easily lol

I think it looks awesome. For what it is, it's great. We will definitely be looking at one when the time comes to go away from one of the Jettas.

I have two suppliers with escapes and they are in the shop frequently - I'll try to get a list of repairs for you

The Escape with the turbo had a recall for fire I think early on. It sure is hard to pick something. Definitely going for biggest vehicle I can get with the best mileage. The new Grand diesel will be out of my budget, I wouldn't dump that kind of money in a vehicle to haul tools and stuff around. Have a look at the Chev SUV offerings? I'd rather squinty than totally bland. My 2007 has been pretty decent, other than the Mercedes parts and a starter connector problem early on. 267k on that. There's also the Ford edge, but pricey.

New Cherokee getting a windsheild this morning and I noticed something cool about them. Also, the eyebrows are not headlights, they are marker signal lights. Headlights are down in the bumper.

That's similar to what I noticed on the JKs. I wonder if all new Jeeps have that nostalgic border on the windshield?
