I replaced the tank in my XJ this summer. Cost me $161, got it from tanks unlimited in Truro. They take cheques & money orders only (don't trust thier drivers with cash I guess ). Best thing about them is that they deliver right to your door. Here is the web addy: www.tanksun.com/

Tell me about it man. Not only the 88 XJ but in the summer I parked up by the HFX Commons and had my CD player ripped out. Then the very next week they broke into it again but didn't take anything. I guess they didn't like the stock radio casset player.

I would have to agree with Johnniemac. Just let her go and remember the good old days. My first Jeep was an 88 XJ. I only had her about 10 months before it was stolen out of my driveway . Some hunters who knew my neighbour found it a year later and it was stripped and destroyed. The only good thing in finding it was that the XJ I currently have; had a bad exhaust. I replaced the one on the 88 3 days before it was stolen and the dumb asses forgot to check the underside before they took the tires off... So bonus to me I got a new exhaust for free (well kinda, almost... maybe not ). The point is, seeing the first vehicle I ever bought in that state of disrepair was heart breaking so I tend not to think about it that way and think about all the cool things I did with it. ;D

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Man this must be the week of stuck trucks. My daughter's boyfriend drives a 88 or so Ford F150 and on Friday the got really stuck in some mud. Well my daughter being one smart cookie knew that she should call her old man to get "the Jeep down here to get us out'. When I get down to where they were I find them in the middle of a clearing where a road is going in. With all the rain we have had in the past few days of course it was a real mess. His front end was "stuck double deep" (meaning his front tires were completly covered ). So I creeped up beside him and attached a strap from my rear hitch to his and pulled him to more solid ground. Then told him after we were out "Fords maybe built tough but JEEPS ARE TOUGH! My daughter and the 2 other people who were with him started laughing. It was a shinning moment for me and the old girl. LOL ;D

This one looks great. You can also count me in, as long as the military doesn't call me in at the same time (for martial law, running after terrorists or anything else the federal government wants lol ;D). Besides Donna is an HRM Dispatcher so I will be out in the bad weather getting her to Burnside anyways.
