I might go topless tomorrow too.... or maybe I'll just take the top off the YJ instead.

I have never been a real big fan of CR seals, we get the occasional truck that comes in to work from an auction with CR seals, and we change them all out to Stemco. as for my personal stuff, I try to stick with wither SKF, National, or Timken. they seem to have the goodz.

That's a relief Tracy that the RIV went that well. I didn't expect any problems anyways, but it's still good to know it's all behind you now. Len, I think a congratulations also should go out to my beautiful wife, who I believe may now own a certain blue MJ.

they both have the same ID and OD's. they should both work, but I would go with the second one, the Timken part. another one that should be the same is SKF #18472. I have one sitting in front of my right now, I have had it in the glovebox of the Yj for like 3 years now. It looks the same as the Timken part.

I'll bring the YJ, I'm sure there will be a couple more Jeeps also, so you could probably hop in a spare seat with someone.

used the YJ as a tractor, started pulling trees out of the ground on the hill beside the house. the guy walking down the road didn't know what to think when I started backing up through the ditch and up onto the lawn, all he could do was stop and stare. It's amazing how fast alders can grow up when left unattended.

with the wagoneer spring, you don't need to make any modifications to your frame. you might need slightly longer shackles, but that is it. you'll have a bit of an angle on the shackles at ride height, but that is alright. the only other aftermarket springs I have seen are JC Whitney, and I don't know if we can get them here. part number is #07AU2048P , and they give close to one inch of lift SOA, so they would be closer. You could also call a couple places, like Parts for Trucks, or any other shops that have a spring shop, they might be able to sell new Wagoneer springs. the springs should be the same from '76-92 Jeep Grand wagoneer, and you only use front springs. the rears are scary long I think.
just good "YJ waggy springs" and you should be able to find a million threads and builds. lots of tech out there, I have spent a lot of time looking into it. I have a set for the front of mine, just have to go pick them up.
