Scott had 1:1 templates made by up, i just did the cutting. ...and the special custom stuff to make it stand out. it's 1/4" hardplate for high abrasion applications, like loader buckets and asphalt plant bins. XJ's rule, don't quote me, but that's what Scott said. ;D pretty happy with the ease the plasma cut thru this stuff, very accurate and smooth. i turned up the air regulator a bit to blow thru a bit more, the first few cuts had a bit too much slag under the cut. also, i found it was nicer to cut freehand than use a fence. this is mostly freehand work. Thats sweet as all get out. Makes me wish toyotas had diff covers Depending on what alloy that hardplate is you may need to do some preheating/slow cooling after welding to keep it from getting brittle. Oh, and pick up some hardfacing rods to do the tips of the 'teeth', then the rocks will defiantly fear you ;D Paul

So the "teeth" act as wedges so you ramp over the rock instead of hitting it square... right?

Nice......I guess my CAD drawing (if u wanna call it that ) for that was kinda useless. Seemed like it was more of a hand fab project with the plasma.

You cut that free hand - nice. Looking forward to seeing it all bent and welded.
