Should be good for a laugh when I leave it down and pull away. Or when its buried a couple inches in the ground after you load the Jeep and you're cursing and beating it with a hammer to get the pin out. ;D

HI everybody! ;D please review the thread for some U-Haul love. My trailer, which had been working great since this thread went dead, is now in need of some maintenance. Paint and brake pads, a couple of lights. Since U-haul told me parts would always be avail from them, I didn't think much of the fairly wacky disc brake surge setup. (which works great, btw) Found out yesterday, that brake pads are no longer availiable for my setup. U-Haul parts guy was not interested in helping. I could practically taste his distain at having to deal with a member of the public. He didn't want to help. Had to pump him for a part #. Join me in my search for discontinued brake pads, laugh along at my misfortune, and make jokes at my expense. ;D Feel free to find me some on the intarwebz. Here's some pics taken between rain showers over the last 2 weeks. When the ramps get pulled out, paint falls everywhere. Oh......well that would explain it. well shit, better get this thing painted. Well past due. Got the neighbor to flip it over with the backhoe. 5 days of scraping, needle scaling, and a bit of wiring. No major rot, just peeling paint. The galvanized front section is perfect. (That was a U-Haul retro-fit from before I bought it) Was happy to see that the frame is good. The decking has a couple of pinholes, but not even worth repairing. I'll get a few more years out of the deck, then do a major rebuild at that time. Maybe get the whole thing blasted and galvanized. my neighbor owns CME, they do that stuff. more to come...

Disc brakes and pads, as described in my post. Not drums and shoes.
Thx for trying, but it ain't that easy, man. If the solution was the first hit on google, I'd be laughing.
Obsolete, no longer carried by U-Haul, don't know who makes them.
I went thru that list in the 2nd link, no pads. There are 4 rotors, but mine are fine. If I can't find pads, I'm going to have to swap to drums, or make some other caliper/pad fit. If I find pads, I'll have to grab those rotors for spares.
No more drum advice! DISC BRAKES! lol (not just you jmac, I can't get 'trailer' and 'brakes' out of my mouth, before the person listening starts going on about drums)

they have lots of parts on their site, but not what I need.

Take your pads to parts for trucks. They might be able to make something for you or get them. Is the lining glued or riveted on?

Yeah that's right they have a brake shop and cut brake material to suit.

backhoe operator told me the same thing. I can plasma cut new backing plates if it comes to that. Don't know if glued or rivet....raining 40days/40nites. got it blocked up to pull tires, but busy right now.
Scrambly - its a uhaul stock #, left it out in the truck, I'll post later.
