Just brought home a TH400 with fixed output, matches the Chev 4speed driveshaft in the donor chassis. Came 'this close' to buying a 12V Cummins and Allison 545 trans combo, but said 'fawk it, will be too much money to buy diesel parts' and stuck with the gas motor. Since I bought the 04 Ram, I'm towing with it. This COE project will just be a hotrod thing, no worries of fuel milage. Have the OE chassis 4speed there too, if I feel the need for a big ass shifter sticking up thru the floor. Thought the auto would be easier to fit, just cable shifted. It kept re-appearing on kijiji, so I bit.

tenwheel.com/view/22977-1947_international_cabover_coe_car_hauler_rat_rod.htmlA lot of the same running gear I have. sticking link here for future reference. Note mid-engine and auto trans. lots of room, wouldn't really interfere with a deck for a rockbuggy. With all my major projects currently completed, I'm on a bit of a fab breather. I would like to get the cab into the shop over the winter for some bodywork. Maybe after Xmas for a month or two. Then when spring comes, I can do chassis assembly outside.

WTF!!!!! ?? Just found my IH's twin brother. Its hard to be taken seriously when telling people your truck is rare, they only made 3000 a year for 5 years...then....the EXACT same thing shows up on kijiji in the Valley. www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/city-of-halifax/1952-international-cabover/569392520It used to be a airport fuel tank, just like mine, its even yellow. I bet they sat beside each other for decades. Twins!

The no-top firetruck would be pretty rad done up as a lowriding flatbed.
