Its not very loud, filled the tank quick. The compressor sounds 'good'. You know how cheap ones sound like they are always about to throw a rod? This sounds like a performance engine. lol
Len - we forgot the big fuse for compressor power. I wired that straight to batt. There is lots of wire there to splice it in, without making stuff to short.

Yah Mawn...lol. Looks great Len. I didn't bother with the pressure gauge on mine...cuts out when the tank is full...lol.

You were right on the stainless braided hose. Yah Mawn...lol. Looks great Len. I didn't bother with the pressure gauge on mine...cuts out when the tank is full...lol. I am considering taking it out as well. We shall see I guess. In any case, it works well enough for me. Don't think she would run air tools, but it fills the tires fine.

I am pretty happy with it Roy. I have a 45 degree fitting that leaks, but aside from that, it's all good. I don't need the angle, so I will put a straight fitting there and see how that goes. No matter how tight, it still leaks. The leak is not a fast one, but the fact that it is there... You understand. I can run the safari top or 1/2 top with the tonneau cover and everything is still there, hidden but sheltered and easily accessible.

More pics please Len. You've given me an idea for my LJ. I've wanted one of those twin ARB hopped up super speedy compressors, but was not satisfied on where to mount it. Eureka!

Use plumbers tape on the leaking fitting. It will make the threads bigger, and seal. The gooey tub of stuff sometimes won't seal a loose fitting. (I usually use the goo, but sometimes have to use tape on a bad fitting)
If the tape unscrews when you try to put the fitting in, its because you put it on wrong. wrap it the other way on the fitting.

Cool. Will do. I knew about the directional wrap. Thanks. I already tried the tape and goo. Still leaks.

I hate the goo. if nothing else, it makes a mess and it hard to clean off if/when you need to take things apart. wrap the tape in the direction the threads go, imagine following the first thread up from there, 3-4 wraps is plenty. if you do it right, the tape won't go anywhere. should be no reason to overtighten them either, snug should be fine with tape. overtightening brasee or plastic fittings can deform or crack them.

Cool. Will do. I knew about the directional wrap. Thanks. I already tried the tape and goo. Still leaks. We use the goo, then tape on all our fittings at work. Years ago it was linseed oil & cement!

Finally have air tank sealed. Had to redo 4/6 fittings. Plus installed inline fuse as per Jan's instructions. All works fine now.
Just need to square away the plate light and the air pressure gauge light.
