Update on the electrical issues. Totally my fault. On every Jeep I have owned since 1999 I have drilled through a big rubber grommet in the firewall to run the wires for aux lights. Well, this time, after 6 Jeeps or so, this has come back to bite me in the ass. THIS time, when I drilled the grommet, I hit the underside of a wiring harness and broke quite a few wires. Ray found it late yesterday and the Jeep should be done today. 100s of $$$ later I have learned yet another valuable lesson about doing my own work. Just because you have been doing it wrong for years does not in any way mean that you should not learn to do it right. The thought that it was wrong never crossed my tiny mechanical mind until it was done and Scott asked me what I was doing. Told me that it was a stupid thing to do. I responded that I had been doing it for years like that with no problems. Not any more.
Thanks again to Scott for teaching me, yet again, something else of use and Ray for fixing my up. Lights and winch will go on this weekend and pix will be forthcoming.

What about the burned up pigtail for the multifunction switch , and the switch itself ?

Pigtail is a result of a short caused by my drilling and the multifunction switch might be fine. Will know more today.

yeah, the powdercoat smoothed out any grinding? I'll have to see it to be satisfied, but that's what I was wondering.
