Yes, goes right on the studs, strap over it, no house wrap after. It's what code requires when not boarding in and covering with steel.

Wood/oil furnace is all hooked up, even has ducting! Picked up some parts last weekend to build a heat exchanger to go in on top of the furnace to heat the water for the in floor. Also got a couple cast iron rads to go in the old shop for some extra heat and a dump if the water gets too hot. My friend that helped me with the in floor piping is going to come help plum it up.

This has been a great build post so far, so thanks for providing the updates. Appreciate the time given to load up info and pics on the build as I am currently doing one of my own (not nearly as quickly or to the same scale) and I am always looking for ideas.

Got the strapping up last couple days and ceiling insulated this afternoon. This one is much easier and faster to do than the big one, did the insulation in about a half hour!

Haven't had time to do much, but it's getting lots of use. Nice to have the space to put something this big in and still have room to work one something else beside it too!

We were given a big industrial ceiling fan and got that up last week.
Today we got all the gyprock up on the small side, and only have a 6'x7' square left to do on the big side. Need 2 more sheets of rock.

I could notice the difference up on the latter right away, it would get hot up there before. I brought a XJ in the other day with some snow on it, melted and dried it fast. Be even better once we get heat in the floor too.

Door goes up, door goes down! Installed an opener on the big door today. We've had it for years and Tracy rewired it for me to run off a car remote starter. Still have to wire up some buttons, but the remote will work anywhere in the yard.
