I can't see caster or alignment making it have the wobbles. Wow, those are the two major things to chase after fixing bad parts. They absolutely do affect deathwobble by being out of adjustment. As little as 1/8" toe change can make a rig wobble, like a dinged in tierod driving home. After image search on WJ stock steering: - the BB would have only made your steering wheel off center, and caster leaned forward towards straight up and down. - the toe would not have changed. (You have a knuckle to knuckle tierod.) So eliminate toe as your deathwobble cause. The caster approaching zero (straight up and down) is more prone to wobble, as laying it back makes it less prone. It also changes feel (effort) at the steering wheel. The adjustable arms should fix it up, assuming all good parts everywhere else, etc. I wouldn't worry about it not being fixed with the arms installed. Get that caster back in spec.

Thx Jan, I ordered the adjustable arms and when they get in I will get the caster back to around 7 degrees and go from there. Looks like another alignment will be coming up as well.

Not yet... Without the lift I can't fit them on yet. This weekend if all goes well I will be expanding the wheel wells and making room for them without a lift. Keep an eye out for an update...

Ok Al here is a pic of the fog lights cut out... Front on: Also I took some time this weekend and found me a body saw to do some cutting... All marked and ready to cut the front All trimmed out as large as I want to go with a rubber trim RTV'd in place. I flattened out any pinch seems in the wheel wells and this is what I have for room. Still do not think there is enough room for the 32's without some kind of small lift. Still have to have the rear fenders opened up but with the double pinch seems, I will have someone else with better welding skills to help me with that part.

To wheel disconnected, and have my 32's clear in the front, I needed to use bump stop extensions.

That's what I was thinking I would have to do as well. Derek, can you drive yours without the front swaybar on the road, or is it all over the place. I eliminated it from the TJ and never had an issue at all. Would like to do the same with the WJ if possible.
Thx Aaron

I hooked it up on the weekend, but it's been the first time in many months since its been hooked up.
It's a bit boat like, but not too bad. I don't know if it would pass the moose test though, lol. For me going from Elmsdale to the airport, it hasn't been an issue.

Cool bumper, I just ordered soft 8s and a set of 235/85/16 tires, I'll be trimming soon too!

Lookin' good Aaron, still not as good as my X though I think the caption of this picture should be "How many wheel weights can we use...". That's a lot of weight on the outside. Can't imagine what the inside looks like! Maybe that is the reason for your wobble, lol

Nice try Devon... But tried the new rims and tires out on it as well and still get the death wobble... Don't care about how many wheel weights it has when it is not a show car. Maybe those Cheap made X-terra's have to have little to no weights or the whole thing flies apart??? Just asking???
Maybe my tune will change once I get the new adjustable lower control arms and I still get death wobble??? Just might go up for sale for below cost so I can switch over to a cheaply made X-Terra. Or I'll burn it and buy a hybrid car to see what good fuel economy is...

I'll be really interested to see if the adjustable lowers will fix the DW. I don't recall reading on the Jeep Forum anyone doing this, so it'll be interesting to know the outcome.

You'd look good in a Prius btw; it suits you!
