I got factory lockers in good shape but both the fittings are rotted off so no air supply to them, and one oem compressor is burnt out Was looking for ideas and opinions on how to run new lines to the diff for air, was thinking maybe some brake lines and fittings Also anyone manage to run a arb on board air system and regulate it down to low pressure for the fittings, id rather spend money on a arb compressor for other uses instead of a factory compressor just for the locker Reply here or throw some text msgs 902-574-8755 They only use 5psi. The pic posted with a blood pressure tester actually works great, its not a joke. Re: an ARB compressor - yes, you could simply have a regulated supply of 5psi from your ARB/tank, to the locker, it would work fine. run airline to the cab for a manual air valve, or use a solenoid activated air valve. parts for trucks would have that kind of stuff. For the rotten air supply lines at the diff - I'm about to install a front rubi airlocker into rear of my LJ D44.....I'm going to drill housing, and silver solder in some brakeline with bubble flares. Then slip small diameter rubber hose over it to run to air supply.

Nearly 200$ to go ride some trails and camp? If anyone wants to take a drive out to cape breton we do that here for free.. 902-574-8755 Hi. I'm from Cape Breton and have been wheeling for 20 years. I've also been attending the Jam for 10 years. Its not the same thing and you will not get the experience of Jamboree by running a couple of trails with a buddy. Jamboree is not simply a little rip thru the woods, its a 3-5 day gathering with hundreds of people and rigs. There are services to be paid for and things like camping (in a serviced campground), and prepared hot food are part of the price of admission/organization. Everyone who wheels should try it out once, see what the big deal is! Thx for the phone #, what part of Cape Breton you live in? My friends and I have contacts in Pier mud scene, some Northside jeepers, around Sydney, Mira, Iona, and I like to explore lost roads in the Highlands.

Oh Ok then.
I remember it being really easy to use 4x4, the 4x4 clipped right into the trimmed out door pillars, and door thresh-hold welded down on top of it easy. One piece per side. Then just two really easy 2x2's back to subframe per side.

Looking for 5 15x8 white wagon wheels for a CJ. Working on a A1977cj5 and want original wheels. I will refinish so condition is not too important. Text to 902 830-7792 Thanks I think I have 4 of the original, I'll look. I will sell, more into modified stuff than stock. Jan MacLean on FB, 830-4927. I'll shoot you a text w pic if I have some. They might be chrome, or white, can't remember. Thx.

2x4 1/4" steel for the rockers. I pity the person you're going to get to do your fab work on begged scrap steel instead of just biting the bullet and buying what you need to do the job properly. That's for XJ's, Enos. ZJ's need 4x4, the rocker are taller and support are higher in the unibody under the doors. ......and it just so happens TDogg gave me 2 8' peices of 4x4x1/4" steel that he has forgotten about. I'm storing them for him after he got rid of some rusty WJ's a couple years ago. I will donate TDogg's steel back to the project! lol

Fastest SUV in the world 1998.
Oh well....can't save 'em all.

What are the pro's to choose a 4.7 over some other V8? Besides having a 4.7 avail? They have a bad rep for reliability, and expensive to repair. I've driven one in a mild WJ and it felt great, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't swap one into anything, prob go with the good ol' 318. (ZJ 5.2) What trans is behind a 4.7?
4.7 Pros - all the same ones for any other V8. Its fun and powerful. 4.7 cons - reliability, expensive parts?, plastic timing chain guides.

Is the starter really strong enough to bend anything though? I assumed if anything you would fry your starter before you bent a rod...? Yes, the starter can bend rods. It can turn over a 300lb rotating assembly against cylinder compression, and it can drive the entire Jeep forward when in gear. Bending a rod is within that range of torque. As far as the update goes....does the engine run or what? lol The oily Ford got done a favor!

The procedure for getting engine running is as described above. Just pull sparkplugs and turn over and shoot out oil. Re-install plugs, top up oil, start, and expect to see a ton of burning oil for a few minutes.
The bigger problem you may have is that you tried to start it after being over for hours. That is a VERY bad idea. Basic laws of physics on earth says that liquids cannot be compressed, think hydraulics.
By starting an engine with cylinders full of oil, you may as well be starting an engine with the cylinders filled with concrete. It is highly likely going to bend connecting rods, destroying the engine.
HOPEFULLY you have a very tight engine, and very little oil made it past the piston rings to fill the cylinder during those hours upside down.
You may see in some buggy vids of rigs rolling, everyone running over, and getting it back on its wheels fast. That's so oil doesn't have time to get into cylinders. You can start and go again.
In your situation, with being over for hours, it was imperative that you pulled the plugs before trying to start.
Good luck....be interested to know how it worked out? JK or 4.0?

1990 and older 6 cyl have a self regulating delco alt. After that it's in the ECM.
You might have bad computer grounds, bad batt connections, bad batt or a bad ecm. Prob a rusty ground somewhere.
Should have tested system with voltmeter before buying parts.

That's what my factory looking stuff is, but the rear supports go past motormounts, (under axle), to front-leaf back-mount.

It worked great all winter. The plow and mount looks like a factory fit, looks made for a CJ. It's bolted to frame in a bunch of places and looks hard to remove. There's bars running under the axle to a rear support. I can grab some pics. My soa CJ5 plow setup that I never really used has a giant lower mount that hooks to frame by the skid, goes under the axle and needs soa clearance. Wannna buy it? lol nsjc.proboards.com/thread/38534/snowplow-cj5
