You can use a router bit in a drill or drillpress in a pinch - highest speed you have and go slow. Even in a die grinder as long as you are careful and take small amounts at a time. Flares that are faded to grey can be brought back to black with a propane torch - 6-8" away and slowly.

If you're going to use a torch or heat gun practice on the old flare if you still have it. I had trouble making it even.

Used somewhere, I forget. Its a Bestop, along with the windammer. Top is a CJ long bikini and a modified CJ channel screwed into the windshield frame. Channel does not interfere with hardtop or softtop.
Mike - tube fenders - yes. Thing is, I want a certain size die, which I don't have yet. They are expensive.

Looks great Jan. My kids wanted to know why you have towel racks over the rear wheels? I near choked to death on my coffee!

Preface: The LJ has had new 33x10.5 BFG's on it since the fall. Drive and wheel it all the time. Still locked in the front and RCV's. (limited slip rear) Been problem free and great in the snow. So me and TDog were out nite wheelin' last week after a snow.....we got all banged up and left his rig overnite. nsjc.proboards.com/thread/46145/winter-wrenchinMy damage was not apparent until the next morning, in the light of day. I went out to get my tools together, went to put them in the back, and I see the friggin' window is hanging there by a thread. Both hinges broken. Fawk, break out the zipties. This works good if it happens to you, to get by until you get hinges. I start to think what happened, and there was this spot where the ass of the Jeep dropped 3' onto the rear bumper and it made a HUGE smash. It felt like I got rear-ended. But nothing appeared broken, and I was extracting TDog, so forgot about it. Apparently, the glass was forced upwards, and broke the hinges. I get to looking closer.....fawk the tub is dented! That light must have pushed into the tub? No, no contact marks, light is tight, and the hit was from below, not from the back. Looking more.....Holy Fawk! The rear corner of the frame got smashed upwards so hard, it dented the corner around the body mount! Look at the gap on the gate on the left side! The tub is crooked as shit! AARRGGG!!! Unfixable! To top it all off, pun intended, the glass forced upwards cracked the hardtop in the top right corner, inside and out. Its very small, but there. And the flare cracked somewhere along the way. BRUTAL!!!!! Its a week later, I got my glass fixed with some Crown parts from CVO, at least they aren't $500 dealer items. But I pulled a muscle in my back wrestling with the window. That is the worst I have hurt my little Jeep ever. I put it thru much worse and it does OK. Must be the cold? Jeez. The tub was perfectly straight all these years, I made my armour and bumpers to take all the hits. (I don't care about the front fenders)

that sucks Jan..... plasma table is gonna have to do something magic to make your corner straight again....
make sure the gate still seals, otherwise rain will run right in there.
