We welded nuts in place on the "Frame rails" to attach the skids, worked good that way as well.

Tom sounds good plan considering nobody carries that size rivnut, the cross member is thick steel and frame inside so I am thinking of drilling trough and use a longer bolt.

It's been a while since my last update, skid plates are in thanks to SuperKev for finding the rivnut 3/8" work perfect I had to drill 1 hole for the Trany and oil pan plate due to the difference between 04 and 07 but the fit is perfect, CB is installed, I also replace the alternator, next is bump stops.

Sounds like its coming along nicely. Have you had it on a trail or off the road since the skids were installed?
